Coffee and Crafts Saturday Series

Kaleidoscopic Design Fun

This fun workshop is for anyone who enjoys drawing.  Using stencils cut by you, you will create an original kaleidoscopic design worthy of framing.  The kaleidoscopic method of designing will give you patterns that you can even use later for paintings.  Instructor Verlie Murphy has even utilized her designs in fabric for use in quilting.

Verlie has taught this class for nearly 20 years, and many of her own pieces are hanging at the University of Michigan and Mott’s Children’s Hospital as well as in private and other corporate collections.  Verlie’s work has also been featured in First Cut Magazine, published by the Guild of American Papercutters, and in 2017 her work will be included in the next One Block Wonder quilt book entitled One Block Wonders of the World by Maxine Rosenthal and Linda Bardes.

Cost for this mini-workshop is $45, and all supplies and coffee and  snacks are included.
