Support for Tryon Arts & Crafts
How can you help us add fun and creativity to people’s lives, and to showcase heritage arts and crafts?
Class and workshop fees are modest and account for only 25% of our direct operational expense. Gift shop commissions add another 6%. We are fortunate to have some income from an endowment, but we rely heavily on private contributions, grants and fundraisers. Gifts may be designated for studio equipment, scholarships or special needs, if you wish.
There are numerous ways you can give: in addition to cash gifts, you may wish to consider gifting appreciated securities or life insurance. Perhaps you’ve been storing arts and crafts equipment you no longer use, such as woodworking equipment, lapidary equipment, a pottery wheel or spinning wheel, silversmith tools, etc. Maybe you have arts and craft books you’d like to add to our resource library. Or perhaps you possess a heritage arts and crafts treasure you could donate, to be shared with visitors to our heritage gallery. All contributions are greatly appreciated and put to good use.
Your gift (whether cash, securities, or equipment) will assist us in continuing to enhance people’s lives by providing arts and crafts instruction and developing and showcasing creative talent. Your gifts to our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization are tax-deductible.
Looking for a way to honor or remember a loved one or commemorate a special date or event? Tryon Arts and Crafts is now selling engraved bricks as a fundraiser for new classroom equipment and improvements to our facility. The engraved bricks will be set into one of our brick walkways. A standard 4X8 brick is $50.00 and a 8X8 brick is $100.00. They are engraved in capital letters with black emphasis. The standard brick can have up to 3 lines of 21 characters and the larger brick may have 6 lines of 21 characters.
In addition to the above, consider a gift of your time and talent. Please contact the office for volunteer opportunities.
Thank you for caring and sharing.
