Examples of Volunteer Roles Are as Follows:

Committees

Lend your experience and energy to TACS’ Education, Events, Finance, and Fundraising. Committees meet monthly and are composed of both community members and the Board of Directors.

Exhibitions and Gallery Installation

TACS rotates new exhibitions every 2 to 3 months. If you have art handling experience or good carpentry skills, let’s talk.

Gift Shop

The display area has been reconfigured to provide an open and comfortable environment. Anyone with an outgoing personality and a love for beautiful handmade arts and crafts would be an asset as we strive to keep a fresh appearance and frequently rearrange the retail display area. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Training is provided.

Youth Programs

Each year, TACS offers after-school youth programs and 5 weeks of summer crafts for young artists, ranging from age 8 to 14. We are always looking for volunteers to assist our lead teachers.

Gardening & Landscaping

If you have a green thumb and are available to come by weekly to tend to our modest gardens and green spaces, we would love discuss the possibilities. We also are seeking to improve the outdoors of our 1.6-acre campus through improvement to our landscaping. Landscapers need apply!

Maintenance

If you are a Jack or Jane of all trades, consider helping out around TACS’ campus with our facilities. We have regular need for upkeep of our building structures, studio equipment, plumbing, and more. We also have frequent special projects such as remodeling.

Archives

TACS has a rich history dating back to 1960 and history is in the making everyday as we continuously expand our services throughout the region. Help ensure that history is not lost by assisting our Librarian with archiving projects.
