Description

All Skill Levels – Beginner

For all photography students who are technically beginners, and learning new things (aren’t we all!!), but are established in the basic use of the camera.  You will learn more advanced techniques and creative options to further your photography practice.

Key aspects of our Photo 102 class include::

  • Advanced techniques – builds upon the basics learned in Photo 101, covering more advanced concepts like long exposure, high dynamic range (HDR), and night photography
  • Creative Styles – encourages exploration of different photography styles, such as portrait, landscapes, and macro photography
  • Post-processing – focuses some on photo editing techniques and using software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom
  • Portfolio development – may include assignments aimed at developing a personal portfolio
  • Critiques and feedback – often involves peer review and critique sessions to help improve skills

Overall, while Photo 101  provides the foundational knowledge needed to begin photography, Photo 102 delves deeper into artistic and technical elements, helping students refine their style and skills.

Students Must Bring:

Camera or smart phone, tripod, paper and pencil for taking notes, and a laptop to look at pictures.  And enthusiasm, lots of enthusiasm!
