Join us on March 22, 2024, 6:00-8:30 pm, for an unforgettable outdoor experience on Tryon Arts & Crafts School’s (TACS) west campus. Immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Western North Carolina and Appalachian open-flame cooking at our Hearth & Anvil Dinner.

This laid-back, yet refined event captures the essence of a casual mountain picnic infused with a touch of sophistication. Long tables with rustic linens set the stage for a communal feast. There, you will indulge in a curated menu of locally-sourced fare by renowned chef John Wilson, of Rural Seed Restaurant. John will demonstrate open-flame methods on TACS’ new, custom-designed grill fabricated in our forge and welding studios exclusively to debut at this event.

Upon arrival, patrons will savor a delightful half-hour social affair featuring delectable bites. Following this, they will indulge in an exquisitely plated dining experience, thoughtfully complemented by the expertly curated wine pairings suggested by our esteemed sponsor, Biltmore Winery.

As you dine under the open sky, witness captivating craft demonstrations in blacksmithing, welding, and flame-based arts. The ambiance will be enhanced by live traditional music performed by Will Trakas, Phillip Jenkins, and Eric Bradley.

Guests will be treated to a perfect blend of casual elegance at the gateway of the Blue Ridge.

TACS extends its gratitude to sponsors Biltmore Winery, WNCW, Caitlyn Farms, Anson Mills, Twisted Fork, Bunny’s Blooms, Mill Spring Farm Store, and event contributors Harmon Field, Town of Tryon, and Tryon Mountain Farms.
