Description
Teaching students how to apply professional techniques using just their phones. Teaches visual literacy and creative thinking. This is a shooting/discussion class. Students should bring cell phone, tripod, laptop.
Topics covered:
- framing and composition
- natural lighting
- storytelling through angles
- editing apps overview (Snapseed, Lightroom, Mobile)
- Project: Create a “photo story” from school or daily life
Directions:
Please note that this program takes place at TACS’s satellite photo studio space at 112 N. Trade Street Ste 4A in Tryon. Students may park in the lot to the left of the building, then enter through the front entrance of the Shops of Tryon on Trade Street. Once inside, walk to the back and left to find Suite 4A.
To qualify for the lottery drawing, you must:
- Be a resident of Polk County, NC, or Landrum, SC
- Be new to TACS’ photography program
- Commit to ALL 3 classes – Because each class session builds directly on the prior week, there is no opportunity for make-up sessions for absences.
