The Basics of Bezel Stone Setting

Learn basic metalsmith jewelry fabrication skills to create an elegant bezel-set pendant and ring. This is a great beginner’s workshop and an excellent introduction to making jewelry. Students will use the jewelers saw and basic soldering techniques to construct both a pendant and a ring out of sterling silver and copper. Students making a pendant will also fashion a bail so the pendant can be worn on a variety of chains. Students are invited to bring any cabachons, between a nickle and quarter in size, for design consideration. The instructor will also have a small selction of cabachons available for purchase. The workshop is beginner friendly but open to all skill levels. All tools are provided. Copper and Sterling Silver will be available for purchase at the time of the class.

Materials Fee: Approximately $65 payable directly to instructor.

No prerequisite but basic knowledge of soldering is helpful

Age limit: 18
