Ellen Davison began painting in watercolors in 1969 and has been painting, learning, and teaching ever since. In 2002, she took a silk painting workshop and fell in love with another but similar form of artistic expression. Along the way, she learned to felt. Again, a whole new door opened. She calls felting – painting with wool. She loves its tactile qualities, and like watercolors and painting on silk, it’s full of surprises. Her watercolors are shown at Islesford Artist Gallery, Islesford, Maine. Her silk scarves and felted scarves are displayed at Winters Work, a gifts and crafts shop, at the Islesford Dock, Islesford, Maine.
