Description
Learn to make a beginner’s machine quilt top. You will learn techniques in using a rotary cutter for your quilt pieces and how to put them together to form a beautiful quilt top. Bring your sewing machine in good working order and the manual if you have one. The instructor will provide the pattern, each student will bring their own tools and fabric (list below), and students will be amazed at how different they all look based on individual choices.
** When finished, you will have a love quilt top to take to a long-arm quilting person to have finished into a completed quilt.
Students must also bring; (SEE BELOW for links to purchase many of these items in a kit)
- cutting mat
- basic quilters tool package including:
- rotary cutter extra needles for your machine
- quilting ruler
- non-slip grips
- seam ripper
- scissors
- a precut set of about 42 pieces measuring 10 x 10 squares (layer cake)
- Spool of neutral colored thread – Aurifil or Gutterman brands preferred – must be all cotton
