Description

2026 Summer Sizzler Youth Art Camps at Tryon Arts & Crafts School

Ignite your child’s creativity this summer! Our weekly youth art camps offer an immersive, hands-on journey through the world of heritage crafts and modern making.

Expert Instruction & Diverse Projects

Programs are led by a talented team of instructors who bring a wealth of artistic experience to the studio. Students engage in high-quality exploration under the guidance of our lead teachers: Courtney Cotton, Erin Carmichael, Emma Yankovich, and Devann Donovan.

The curriculum focuses on daily core projects designed to build technical skills. Past camps have included a wide range of projects such as:

  • Fine Arts: Drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage.
  • Sculpture & Craft: Pottery, fused glass, woodworking, and papier mâché.
  • Textiles & Paper: Needlework and paper-making.

To provide a unique perspective on the trades, our program also features guest demonstrations from professional artisans in specialized disciplines like Blacksmithing, Welding, Pottery, Fused Glass, Woodworking, and Fiber Arts.

Active Creativity at Harmon Field

The daily schedule balances focused studio time with outdoor activities around Harmon Field. Students have the space to move, play, and find inspiration in the natural beauty surrounding the school, keeping energy levels high and minds refreshed.
