Art of the Flame – Thank You!

Thank You

for Making Art of the Flame a Success!

The last ember has faded, but the fire burns in all who attended Art of the Flame at Tryon Arts & Crafts School on May 1.

Approximately 1,000 people gathered under the blue skies to celebrate our Appalachian culture through fabulous food, great music by 6 groups, 14 remarkable craft demonstrations, and games for all ages.

The festival was a success! A community spirit emanated through the strong support of the Town of Tryon, Tryon Downtown Development Association, 40 local sponsors, and 33 individual contributors and artists.

TACS is grateful to the 63 event volunteers – those who helped conceptualize the event in Spring 2020, planning committee members, and those whose who joined in recent weeks and brought the event to a crescendo on May 1.

TACS especially thanks Ken Dahlstrom of Bird Mountain Wine & Spirits, fellow pit masters Cindy Dahlstrom and Rick Roig, and John Wilson and Carl Pleasants of Rural Seed Restaurant. The food was exceptional!

We wish to acknowledge the many who contributed time, energy, funds, and in-kind goods and services to Art of the Flame:
