All skill levels welcome
Participants in this course will be introduced to and use many tools in the wood studio. Students will learn about woodshop safety, tool operation, appropriate tool selection, wood science, project design, how to prepare lumber, layout, and joinery. Participants in this class will implement what they learn during the class to work on either a small self-selected project or a serving tray.
Students must be able to stand for periods up to 2 hours long and be able to lift materials up to 20 pounds.
Students should bring ear plugs, eye protection, dust mask, and wood (may be provided by the instructor or brought in by the student).
