Description

Wire weaving is designing different patterns on wire and molding it into different shapes or around stones and beads.  Students will learn how to wire weave basic weaves, setting stones and/or adding beads.  They will learn how to design their own cabochon pendants or bracelets.  Students will make several pendants and/or bracelet during this 6 week class.

Judy Lindsey is a jewelry artist who began wire wrapping under the instruction of Daniel Wilcox.  She advanced to wire weaving watching YouTube tutorials.  Her work can be seen in the gift shop at Tryon Arts and Crafts School, the Artisan Nest in Tryon, Aerie Lane in Greer, and A Walk in the Woods in Hendersonville.

To qualify for the lottery drawing, you must:

  1. Be a resident of Polk County, NC, or Landrum, SC
  2. Be new to TACS’ Jewelry program
  3. Commit to ALL 6 classes – Because each class session builds directly on the prior week, there is no opportunity for make-up sessions.
  4. Class slots are awarded through a lottery drawing. To enter the lottery, add this class to your shopping cart, and enter all requested information. Your shopping cart will show $0. PLEASE NOTE: By entering the lottery, you are not guaranteed a space in the class.
