Description

Sterling Scrap Casting/Fabrication

Intermediate level, process oriented.

 

In this workshop you will learn how to use casting grains or your sterling/fine silver scrap to create organic components to then use in finished jewelry.

 

Using your own jewelry tools is always preferred but TACS does have student tools for you to use.

 

Tools that will be used in the workshop: silver scrap torches, soldering boards, soldering picks, saws, v-slot bench pins, crock pots, pickle, copper tongs, work surfaces, water and containers, crucibles, graphite sticks, borax, casting grains, hand outs, long leaf pine needles, rock salt, casting sand, cuttlefish.

 

Bring your own lunch and drinks.

 

Materials fee of $75 is payable to the instructor.
