Description

This workshop will cover basic safety issues, introduction to types of wood, wet versus dry,  tools (lathe, hand tools), and techniques (clamping, turning, finishes).  Students will produce 1-2 finished pieces – spindle, muddler, dibbler, small dry flower urn and/or small bowl.  Continuing students will be given different projects of varying degrees of difficulty based on experience.

Please bring a lunch or snacks as desired.

Materials fee: $20

Minimum age – 18    (12+ with parent/guardian); students must be able to stand for at least 2 hours at a time and good hand-eye coordination is required for safety.
