Demystifying Cricut Cutter and Stencils for Clay 3 Day Intensive

 

Process-oriented workshop for intermediate level students.

 

Students: Please note the student materials list.

 

This 3 Day workshop will cover step by step basics of uploading and editing hand drawn images into Cricut Cutters digital design space program. Demonstrations will include sketch book exercises, digital drawing, vinyl and tyvek cutting, and application of vinyl and tyvek to bisque ware pottery and green ware pottery.

 

STUDENTS BRING –

 

Computer with Cricut Design Space uploaded
Cricut Cutter Machine (not necessary, but helpful for when we start cutting)
Any Cricut Cutter Machine tools
2 – 5 green ware pieces
2 – 5 bisque ware pieces

Sam Oliver has worked in clay for the past 13 years.  She attained her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC, in 2013, her Post Baccalaureate from William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA in 2015, and has participated in several residencies such as Penland School of Crafts and Arrowmont School of Crafts;.  Sam’s work can be found in galleries around the country, and she is currently working as a full time potter at her home studio.  To learn more go to www.samanthaoliver.com
