Description

Participants will design and construct a framed piece of landscape art made entirely of dyed wood.  This session will tackle two elements.  While creating the landscape art piece, students will learn design and layout methods, and work with several shop tools, including bandsaw, table saw, spindle sander, and router table.  Students will also learn how to build a solid wood picture frame to make their finished artwork look complete.

 

Students Should Bring: Safety equipment for ear, eye, and respiratory protection

 

Instructor Provides: Prepared wood for landscape art and frames, backer boards, framing supplies, dye, shellac.

There will be a materials fee of $25 paid to the instructor at the first class.
