Description

Rings, Rings, Rings

All skill levels are welcome.

Pre-Requisites: “Fusing Fun in Argentium” workshop or a basic understanding of using the jewelers torch and working in studio setting.

Project-Oriented Workshop

This is a great course to start adding rings to your jewelry making abilities.

You will start with a set of stacking rings. Then you will create a wide band ring that has texture. Your final projects for this class will be an adjustable ring with a bezel set stone of your choice.

  • Sizing and shaping rings
  • Making thin band rings and wide band rings
  • Filing and sanding for a great finish
  • Texturing metal
  • Applying patinas
  • Making a bezel and setting your stone.

Students will have a knowledge of ring construction, sizing, and finishing techniques.  They will set a cabochon onto a backplate for a ring.  Completing these three projects will enable them to move onto more complex ring projects.
