All skill levels are welcome.
Pre-Requisites: “Fusing Fun in Argentium” workshop or a basic understanding of using the jewelers torch and working in studio setting.
Project-Oriented Workshop
This is a great course to start adding rings to your jewelry making abilities.
You will start with a set of stacking rings. Then you will create a wide band ring that has texture. Your final projects for this class will be an adjustable ring with a bezel set stone of your choice.
- Sizing and shaping rings
- Making thin band rings and wide band rings
- Filing and sanding for a great finish
- Texturing metal
- Applying patinas
- Making a bezel and setting your stone.
Students will have a knowledge of ring construction, sizing, and finishing techniques. They will set a cabochon onto a backplate for a ring. Completing these three projects will enable them to move onto more complex ring projects.

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING
Bring their favorite jewelry-making tools, a pencil, and a sketchbook.
Please wear closed toe shoes and tie back long hair
Supplies to bring:
- 1 round or oval cabochon with a hardness of 6 or more
- 18 inches .999 Fine Silver 3/16″ Strip, 26-Ga., Dead-Soft.
- 1 Foot 14 gauge Argentium Silver Round Wire
- 1 Foot 14 gauge Argentium Silver Square Wire
- 1” x 6” 20 gauge Argentium Silver Sheet
